Alright so I currently am following the champs diet plan. I am trying to drop body fat from 20% to 10% fast as possible in the right way. My diet is roughly 300g protein 40g carb and 30g fat. During my workouts though I am feeling drained at the end and sometimes have to cut the disc short. By the end though I am sweating my ass off and my heart rate is through the roof. My carbs only come from veggies and whey protein also.
Should I be upping my carb intake for the energy and will I see better results where im at?

I'd move down to about 160g of protein, and add the 140g worth of calories to carbs making your carbs around 180g. then add a bit more fat to bring your calories up to 1,800 or so, so another 20g of fat for under 50g. That sounds a lot more reasonable. But different folks work fine on different diets. You clearly don't handle the high protein low carb diet. And that high amount of protein does you nothing you're just pissing it out after it oxidizes and the nitrogen gets removed from the amino acids. Waste of money to be spent on that amount of protein but that's just my humble opinion. 160g of protein is still pretty excessive for someone your weight but at least it's within the realm of reasonable....

Thanks.
the 200g is because i would double the scoop of protein. so i'll go back to 150-160G of Protein. actually my carbs are about 150g and i'll up my fats abit to atleast 100g. that would put me around 1700-1800 Calories and considering my size thats around 500 below maintenance after Cardio.Last edited by L33THAL; 04-22-2010 at 06:22 PM.

From the book Advanced Sport Nutrition, which I think is as credible of a source as anything, the recommended protein intake is between 1.2 - 1.7 grams per kg of body weight with body builders and power lifters being on the high end of the spectrum. so if you're 105 kg you would need 126 - 178 gram of protein.
As for why people think thy need 200-300 grams of protein? Why do people think that fat burners are a must on a cut? Why do people think that HIIT is better than LISS, or the other way around? I don't know. I'm pretty sure that your body simply can't use and utilize 300 grams worth of protein every day to build muscle.www.gregstransformation.com - follow my journey

I agree with this. A specialist also told me that for bodybuilders 1.8 grams of protein per kg of bodyweight is enough (being about 0.8 grams per kg of bw the recommended for a ''normal person'').
I try to get about 2g / kg just to be sure that I'm taking enough, but more than that I think it's a waste (unless you're on roids).

in my opinion you should eat more than 1,600 calories for your size. If you're TOO deficient youll lose more muscle mass than necessary. Carbs dont make you fat either, In my cut i like carb/calorie cycling once you get down to 10% bf area i think its the best way to hit the stubborn areas. Hope that helps bro
