pretty much every training video of a pro they use a small range of motion and lots of cheat reps. is this whole strict form business we get told to do wrong?

It's not so much that they're using "bad form", it's moreso than they have so much mass and thickness to their frames, that it looks that way to the naked eye from an onlooker's perspective.
For example, we're taught to keep elbows tucked in for a lot of exercises and prevent flaring them out. Well with a big monster bb'er, they might be trying to tuck those elbows in, but it simply looks different since thick lats and shoulders get in the way. Not to mention the flexibility is limited.
They're also looking purely for the pump, not so much perfect perfect technique.Simon Jeremy CPT
