I've been seeing on a lot of morning workout threads people say they fast during the morning and do not eat pre-w/o, i was wondering what are the benefits to this if there are any?
Thanks. Gage

Training intensity is through the roof (at least for me) when training fasted. Enjoy the challenge especially of going against most of the "experts" and published literature. I stay much leaner and can still make gains (protein intake has to be adequate).
Its individual preference for the most part.

Fasted training has no science backing it up, only refuting it over and over.
But the thing to understand is that your body adopts to almost any routine, and thus you will see results no matter how sub-optimally or even stupidly you work out especially if you have good genetics... But there are smarter ways of doing things.
Even thinking logically one would reason that your work-out is the LAST place you want to decrease calories around.Last edited by kusok; 04-19-2010 at 06:42 PM.
