Honestly, I feel like Matt Stone and Trey Parker are some the most ingenius people of our time. When they put out these kinds of episodes they just blow my mind with how they know exactly how everything will play out the way they plan.

When I saw the thread title, I knew the death threat didn't come from a Catholic, Buddhist, Christian, Scientologist, or Hindu, all of whom were viciously (and intentionally, to make a point, I'm sure) insulted.
I'm sure Parker and Stone knew that Muslims would react, even though doing so would confirm the thesis of the entire episode. They intentionally insulted multiple religions, and even made the episode about how you can't insult Islam without them threatening violence, so that when the inevitable death threats from Muslims did materialize it would make people think.
