targeting areas

i have lost ALOT of weight, but i still have belly fat, i cant seem to get rid of it, i weight train and cardio on alternating days six days a week, i eat a fairly clean diet but it still wont go away. people tell me sit ups crunchs blah blah blah. i have been told there is no way to actually target an area, everybody is different when losing the weight, sit ups will build and tighten the muscle but not target the fat in that area.

so anyway question is can i target or just stay true to my plan and it will eventually come off were i want it?

Don't train for a date, or an event, don't train for a number, don't train to impress...train for life!!

Yes!!!

Me (and alot of other people) will tell you that you cannot target fat specifically.

I have found that you tend to lose fat in the order that you put it on ... alternatively,
You lose from the face, arms, shoulders first and infact its the obliques/abs thats the last to go.

Crunches and all that jazz just works the muscles, but how can you show the nice 6-pack off with fat surrounding it?

I agree. But, odawg315, you also answered your own question in your post when you said you "eat a fairly clean diet". Especially when trying to get the last bit of belly fat off, your diet has to be very clean. All the exercise won't do it alone, only in combination with a healthy, clean diet will you reach your goals.
