From here I will be logging what I did that day, workout, and how I felt before and after the night's sleep. Just started a new job recently that has me up at 5am until I get home at 6pm. From there I usually eat something and run off to the gym until about 9-10pm. I've always had problems sleeping so I've actually been trying out different night time tea's and sleep aids.
(I started my log Wednesday and had it written down since I never had time to get it posted here)

Wednesday
Today I spent the day in training for my new job. Got up at 5am ate, showered and ran off. Basically sit around for 9 hours with a massive book. By 5:30pm I'm back at home. Small meal and off to gym. Today I worked out my legs and did a little cardio after. I got home around 10pm. I took my first pack of PM and showered. As I read my magazine at my desk I started feeling tired. Not an overwhelming drowsiness that you might get from taking benadryl but more of a relaxed state, very calming. Woke up Thursday at about 5:30am. Took me about 15 minutes to really wake up. I felt good though. More alert, not groggy and not sore from day before.
So far, so good.Cubs, Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks

Sorry for no update. Wasn't feeling well over the weekend and stopped taking supps.
I took my second pack Sunday night. Took around 10pm and around 11pm I was feeling calm and ready for bed. Took me maybe 10-15 minutes before I fell asleep. Woke up at 5:30 am feeling pretty good. A little tired but nothing abnormal. Had higher energy it felt during the dayCubs, Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks

Took the pack around 10pm last night with a cup of Night Time Tea. Felt really relaxed and not too stressed from the day. Got into bed at 10:30pm and watched a little TV. I was asleep by about 11:15pm. Woke up this morning at 5:30am and felt good. More alert and felt like I had more energy.

One great thing I've noticed is my sleep schedule is starting to shift. I'm going to bed earlier and earlier. I'm also waking up pretty early too, which is great. I popped some PM in last night and probably fell asleep around 11:30 ish. I set my alarm today for 9am but was making breakfast by 8:30am. I feel rested and great

Updates are coming late. After work I get home eat and go to gym. Anyways had a pack last night and felt good. Finally getting my sleep schedule adjusted where I want it to be. My routine is usually a cup of night tea around 9:30pm and then I take a pack at 10:30. I either read a bit or watch some TV and am out. Let me tell you this is the best routine I've had in as long as I can remember.
Some things I've noticed:
1. I'm not overwhelmed by a druggy drowsy feeling. It's more of a calm and relax feeling.
2. When I get into bed and want to sleep it happens pretty quickly. This is big for me cause that has never happened. Usually I will watch TV for hours or lay in bed waiting. But it's like when I decide I want to go to sleep, it takes maybe 10 minutes and the next thing I know my alarm is going off.
3. The sleep is solid. It's deep with minimal, if any, interruptions. Usually it's once at 4:30am to pee.
4. I feel rested in the morning. I'm getting about 6 hours every night but it's 6 solid hours. I feel good in the morning and through the day. I have had problems of falling asleep during the day either at school or work. No amount of coffee could stop that. But I'm telling you I am awake from morning until night.
So far I am impressed and enthused by how well this is working. Especially at such a hectic time in my life where I need all the sleep and energy I can get.Cubs, Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks

Today went pretty well. Woke up and did some cardio at 6am. Hit the gym at 7pm. Today was legs day. Squats were a little easier today. Feel like I should be increasing weight on my Squat and hack squat. I do notice that I can do more leg extensions with more weight than usual. The soreness doesn't last nearly as long

Sorry I didn't update last night. Fell asleep Thursday night around 10:30pm. Was exhausted from work and the pack helped settle my brain enough to sleep. Worked out shoulders last night. My military press was better and I was able to push out a few more reps than usual.

I've tried. I've tried different sleep aids and high doses of melatonin. It worked alright. What I like about this is not only is it helping me sleep at night but also aiding in my recovery time. One lift I can tell is my squats. I'm able to put up 315 a little easier now. Deadlifts are better as well.
As for this morning it was a little rough. Wasn't feeling too well yesterday. Fell asleep around 11pm and was up at 6:30am. Taking the day off the gym to rest and get to bed earlierCubs, Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks

I hear you. There are always ways to make a homebrew yourself and save some bucks. For those who do, more power to them. For some, the convenience is more important. But more importantly, sometimes, the way a product is put together works in a way that buying comparable products separately never does. It sounds like you know what I'm talking about here.

Exactly. Besides the sleep aid part is only half of the formula with the other aiding in muscle recovery. Sure, it may be cheaper if I just tried to create my own sleep aid formula but then I'd only half of what Animal PM has to offer. Also, convenience is a hyuuuuuge factor. Instead of looking around on different sites, comparing multiple products to see what would work best with each other, I have something already formulated together, tested and enjoyed by many.
Well, today I finally felt good again. I think I just felt a little sick from Saturday night/Sunday morning still. Will definitely not have a night like that again. Off to the gym now for some back day.Cubs, Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks

Had a pretty good day doing back last night. I've finally moved onto doing 315 for my final set of deads. Always nervous about going past that since I tend to have lower back pain a lot so for now I'm just going to take it easy there until I build that muscle a little more. Started doing face pulls which may be one of my new favorite exercises for now.
Had kind of a crappy sleep. Took the pack but just seemed other factors were working against me. Left window open so I woke up when my room was all of a sudden freezing. Woke up again since my mouth was so dry. Another for the bathroom. All the while I was having crazy vivid dreams. Maybe I'll skip on the fat free Jell-o tonight hahaCubs, Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks

Whoops forgot to update yesterday. Well, basically did shoulders but tried to keep it relatively light. Right shoulder is starting to act up again. Still sleeping well. Funny I have a new routine now. Sleep by 11:30pm, morning pee by 5am, up for work by 6:30. Not too bad. Having some weird dreams lately

I started doing specific grip exercises for last month or 2. I wouldn't contribute it directly to PM but just another thing I happened to noticed as of lately.
Had a light day today. Just did forearm and wrist exercises. Read of a new way to do a forearm lift that killed me. Basically twisting a rod attached to a rope that has a weight on it. Basically winding the rope on the rod. Instead of just standing and doing it, I went to a rack and rested my arm on the bar at shoulder height. Most intense burn I've had in my forearm yetCubs, Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks

Had to go out of town for a family thing. Tried to stick to the diet as best as possible. Was dead tired Sunday. Took the PM, chugged some water and was out hard. Felt pretty decent Monday morning for work. Workout wasn't too bad but I think I'm still a bit tired from the weekend
