    What kind of workouts do boxers/fighters have?

    Always wondered, is there any difference in your workouts when your aiming for a good physique or when you just want speed/strength. Like bodybuilders do max wieght/low reps which builds strength muscle what would that be changed too if your boxer/fighter going for speed + explosiveness

    when i was boxing we did alot of bag work of course. cardio/interval work. lots of bodyweight movements....lots of drills also. Technique is how you channel the power you have....so alot of time is spent on it.

    ok I probably worded my question ****, what I mostly wanted to ask is when they work with wieghts what are the reps/weight? Do they do like max wieght/low reps and go for quickness as thier lifting or do they go less then thier max weight with lots of reps and lift it slower

    I think they train for explosiveness, very slow negatives and very fast push, not to complete failure but enough to adequately work the muscle. Sets and reps are kept a little higher than someone strength training might go for.
