Well guys it has been a fun ride so far. I am now 9 days out from my first comp and getting anxious. Looks like this year the Texas Shredder is going to have a large novice class from what Dave Goodin said, should be interesting. He also advised me to compete in the open and felt I would be competitive there.
Here are some pics as I set at 198.4lbs and carb depleted. These were taken on cardio day and at night. I was all depleted and dead tired. Tell me what you think.
[QUOTE=itsgroll;477213331]hey man...amazing work. If you compete novice you for sure will DOMINATE!!!! go kill em! I to wil be doing novice and open. im 4.5 weeks out [/QUOTE
Good luck to you on the show. Also, your contest pics from last year look good. I am sure you have made some great improvements since then.

Vision is purpose, and when your purpose is clear so are your life choices. Vision creates faith and faith creates willpower. With faith there is no anxiety, no doubt - just absolute confidence.
There are two undeniable truths in life: failure and success. Unfortunately, everyone experiences failures before achieving any amount of success. Life is ultimately a giant trial and error test-you never really get what you want without putting up with the things that you dont
Feeling good today after my refeed yesterday. Only gained 1/2lbs from it and look really tight. Today begins depletion workouts and lowering carbs until Monday then will begin to front load and taper off as the week goes. I hope this will bring out my best and wish I had tested it earlier in my prep. I am trying to follow the logic that Dr. Joe and Layne subscribe to in Peak week. We will see how it works.
Those of you who front load and taper, what do you do on show day? What and when do you eat? Also, do you guys start lowering water Friday or just drink as norm then quench thirst on show day?
Headed to gym then to Austin for posing class. Fell real good today and look pretty dry after getting watery yesterday. Only 7days away till the Texas Shredder. Looking forward to see how my body looks in peak week. That is the only thing I am unsure of.
I wish I was leaner, but it is what it is and has been a learning experience. Now I know where to begin for the next comp so will be easier and better results. I learned a lot on this board of both what to do and what not to do.
Contest was awsome and had some good competitors at the Texas Shredder this year. I placed 2nd in the Novice Heavyweight with 10 or 11 competitors in the class. Looking forward to next year.
