In reading his book, he reommends over 30g of L-Glutamine per day.

I have a bottle of 1500mg capsules. It recommends a couple per day.

30g would mean i'd have to take 20 of these capsules per day. Do any of you take that much? Is there a typo in his book?

You don't need glutamine in the first place. It will most likely fail to lead to the results it's advertised to do.

If anything L-Alanyl-L-Glutamine would be a better bet. Or Alanine + Glutamine

People honestly use this much glutamine, for what reason who knows. Save your money - it does nothing.

Everyone in his FB group buys it. I want to warn them, but it's not my place to say. Obviously someone selling a product is going to say it's the best thing since filtered water.

Me too. I seem to have fewer GI issues when on it vs. off. Don't care if it's placebo or not, Glutamine is simply too cheap to question if there's ANY personal benefit from it.

And of COURSE you don't NEED it - you don't need ANY supplements

I take 5 grams of glutamine before bed. Helps me sleep better and it does indeed play a role in recovery (as well as digestion and several other benefits). I can't say what 30 grams per day would but that would be expensive, for starters. The next question you have to ask yourself is 'would 30 grams make a substantial difference to justify the cost?' The only way is to experiment with it.

Pretty much and excellent bump with BS to promote your website there guy. I love Tim Ferris's attitude, but he loves Poliquin and Dave Asprey and has bought into their BS hook line and sinker.
