    question about food timing

ok I wanted to know what I should do after I workout? I always took a shake and everything was fine but my new work schedule is killing me.

Basically I wake up go to gym from 730-830. Then I normally grab some breakfast of eggs and some meat. Then work 9-12 with classes in the afternoon. I take a protein shake at 11 and again before bed. I also eat dinner around 6. My question is should i take my protein shake after I lift or is breakfast enough? Should I do both? I read the body cant absorb all that protein anyway.

First off, unless you vomit or are otherwise too uncomfortable to train, I'd suggest having a shake before your workout.

Before you shake your head and post, "I asked about post workout, not pre", you need to realize that pre-workout nutrition is as important (if not more important) than post workout nutrition.

And the other answer you are looking for is that there is a golden hour after you stop lifting yo have a shake also. You say your work schedule is killing you but how hard is it to fill up a shaker bottle and have some powder in a container or a ziplock bag and quicky down a shake before you head to work

yea that is very true. I aways used to take a pre-shake but I was reading to train on a empty stomach to cut to burn more fat.

you should do both. bring your shake and drink it right after working out, then eat breakfast 30min to 1hr later.
