Profile B

Features: 880 cals (x5 scoop serving) -- 170 cals x1 scoop. Loaded with fortifiying creatine, vitamins, l-arginine, igf colostrum, plant sterols, enzymes, among others. The con here is the carbs and the sugar load is pretty high.

Cookies 'N' Cream

Taste - D+ - This flavor is oftentimes hard to nail, in fact you will be hard pressed to find one that is good. There are no fragments of small cookies to contrast. Even at one scooper, the carbs are still high but that as we all know is a tradeoff of a gainer. Despite the high sugar load of 16 g x 1 scoop it is a bland type of flavor overall, an infusion of vanilla woulda been great, it was not too discernable as is, very smokey and grainy type of flavor like a fermented flour or something (similar to unflavored wax maize for instance). It is at least balanced and not sweet either way.



Mix - C -

It is thicker than Real Gains also more dense at one scoop, you'd be hard pressed to do the full 3 or 2 scoops. I personally used whey concentrate and Real Gains varying ratios of water, skim milk and almond milk. Also used CNC, skim and Fast Gains CNC in a blender just to try (always wanted to try CNC ice cream and CNC protein) and it was decent and almost a real experience, but the GF was a lil blander and tasted every bit of the carb blend. For my taste 1 oz of water is a standard when using most gainers, makes it less goopy and easier to mix, flavor is just more smokey.


Final Score B- - For the price of Gain Fast $21 for the big boy tub it is about as good as it gets, this profile is filling. A scoop spread out twice or thrice would be ideal not great as far as mixing but not that bad either, you can measure a shake out around 400+ if you do it right and still get a nice thick shake that is not super dense. The profile is legit, the flavor could be improved a bit more vanilla punch would be awesome but luckily Universal has 4 other flavors to consider, Banana Shake, Chocolate Shake, Strawberry Shake and Vanilla Shake.

You're definitely right about CNC, being a difficult flavor to get spot-on.
Thinking about it.. Even after 4 years, I have yet to find a CNC whey that really stood out

just the nature of the beast, the worst vanilla is like the best cnc there is. Universal.... do snickerdoodle Gain Fast

yes because a protein bar has cookies that it rubs off onto the vanilla base, ive only had one and it was decent but protein shakes are another story haha. Cinnamon bun is similar too in that they tend to be on the sweet side of proteins, cnc is either bland or its various other things.

oh it has cookie bits at the bottom? Gain Fast doesnt have that, it's more of a refined powder. I do have Real Gains CNC Ill report back on that version and see how it compares, big fan of the cookie bits description of it, means more flavor also.

Appreciate the unbiased review! Universal/Animal is a great company, and I was curious to see what people thought of their gainers actually. Like you said, it's really hard to get a good Cookies and Cream flavor, I've tried quite a few in my time. You did a great job on this review, keep it up!

Very curious to see how the Real Gains version measures up to the ones I've tried including Gain Fast.

Opened a tub of Gain Fast 3100 Banana Split Shake, not dissimilar but flavor is an improvement over the CNC, bolder and better. somewhat chalky from the carb load on it but not too bad consisdering
