Likely Fort McMurray, AB. Its waay the fukc up there, about 4 hours north of Edmonton. Rents are crazy high, it's probably 80/20 M-F ratio, drugs, STD's and Prostitution are rampant but there is piles of money to be made. Lots of companies offer week in week out camp jobs that fly out of a few major canadian centers (Calgary, Edmonton, Kelowna, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, etc.)

It's in Northern Alberta. Not a ton of jobs at the moment because a lot of projects have been put on hold because of oil prices. Will probably be crazy again in 2-5 years.

A low journeyman rate would be $45/hr.

2080 hrs year = 93,600 per year

1040 hrs OT @ 2X wage = additional 93,600 year.


A lot of trades make $50-$60 per hour there.
