I have heard many theories on this. I drink a fair amount of 2% milk daily. What are pros and cons discussed?

This. I was drinking tons of skim milk for the protien when I started training again, because I always did in the past when I was younger.
The major difference is that when I was younger I was lean so it was fine.
Right now I am trying to lose fat, and was going nowhere. As soon as I dropped milk from my diet I started seeing better results.
So it depends on you, your situation, and your goals.

Personally, milk doesnt agree with my stomach.I can handle other dairy products like cheese and yogurt just fine though.Even Ice cream in moderation. But for some reason, milk just messes things up in my stomach.I've exclusively used soymilk for cereal since 2000.
On a side note,I've heard in the past that Arnold Swartszeneggar personally shunned milk, stating that milk really was for babies.*Addicted to swimming during the summer crew.*

Unless you're Lactose intolerant, no cons. Excellent source of protein, vitamins, and minerals.
No brain, no gain.

^^This.
People get so hung up on whether or not this or that is good or bad. Better use of that attention and energy (for most people) would be simply keeping track of their calories and seeing for themselves. Consume the same number of calories with or without milk (or whatever you're worried about is "bad") and see what it does for you. If you can eat 2500 cals/day and lose weight, whether 2-300 cals of that is milk or not shouldn't matter.-

One of the best things for a lifter, especially when bulking.
Also a tip for those who add dextrose, maltodextrin, waxymaze, or other carb source to their protein drinks, just add milk and save yourself money.-----------------

north american doctors says we need a glass of milk a day for calcium.
north america is the leading continent that has austioperosis(sp) and bone loss
other countries around the world who dont drink milk as nearly as much as us dont seem to have said problems, so you decide. i limit my milk intake to a glass on rare occasion and in my coffee and what not. but just comes to show that somethings we think thats good for us actually may not be

Hochspeyer discovers the reason litl_ dan, is little.
In terms of credibility and validity of conclusions:
medicalnewstoday study >> thebabybond study
They say "one of the highest" for calcium intake (they're in the middle based on their data) and correlating this to hip fractures is a very weak connection to make. Plus it's assuming calcium intake is the only determinant for bone density, when this is far from the truth."Look at yourself in the mirror each morning before you go to the gym; that's the guy you want to beat every time."
