Midnight meal/protein shake for a teen?

Hey, Im 16 years old. I have good nutrition but I read somewhere that waking up in the middle of the night to have a protein shake or a small meal(high in protein ofc) would be great for your gains, what is your view on this?

Why? In theory it should be great, I would get a meal every 2-3 hours even while Im sleeping and therefore avoiding my body entering a catabolic state.

there is absolutely no reason you should interrupt sleep to eat. As mentioned earlier, eat before bed.

The meals every 2-3 hours thing is bull**** too. I eat one tiny meal in the mornings and a large one at night. My muscles aren't disappearing.

My point wasnt to eat 2 meals a day. My point is to eat when you want to and watch your calorie totals.
