Yo..
Will I need to eat more for strength training? .. will it burn more calories?
Also u guys said 5x5 was good for size etc but I've written my own workout so if you guys wouldn't mind commenting to say if it will help me gain size. Or is it better doing a split for size? I'm currently doing full body workouts with compound and isolation excersies but not sure if it's hitting the body groups enough because I need to work my shoulders and chest big time to make them grow and not sure if less reps on a compound movement will do this?

Terrible. As a natty frequency is king. Take Stronglifts 5x5, Starting strength, Fierce 5 or any other 3/week full body program and run it into the ground.
And size comes from diet. So yes you need to eat above maintenance to gain size. This will also help you gain strength faster than say if you at just at maintenance.USBF Physique and Bodybuilding
