Beyond the increase in calories, heightened estrogen and lowered testosterone sound to be the worst effects of drinking from a fat loss/muscle building standpoint.
I3C from foods like cabbage and broccoli have anti-estrogenic properties and flax lignans competitively bind to estrogen receptor sites. Also, milk thistle also helps to regenerate damaged liver tissue which in turn helps to metabolize excess estrogen. Are there any other foods/supplements that help to counteract the rises in estrogen after drinking alcohol?
