    microwaving vegetables

    Like if I microwave vegetables, such as carrots, broccoli, and potatoes, does that take away the nutrients? I mean it taste a whole lot better when its cooked but should I eat them raw for better nutrients?

    ANY type of cooking influences total nutrient content, antioxidant activty etc... in positive, negative and neutral ways depending upon the nutrient in question and the cooking conditions. Use a lower power and don't overcook because this is what happens to broccoli if you don't. Steaming is also usually better no matter where it's cooked. The most important thing is that you are eating your vegetables.
