at my school, the biggest bench for a 17 y/o is 285. im at 210 and i just turned 16. but theres an 18 y/o with a 355 bench lol

my friend holds the schools highest bench at 325 lbs. turning 17 this month

You all must go to some small ass schools. My dude Caleb benched 450 at a college football scout meet his junior year at 265lb., 6.2, age 17. He got four full rides after racking 505 at the senior scout meet at 275lb., 6.2, age 18. Kid was a genetic freak though, he pinned some dude that was 285lb., 6.6 in 19 seconds at the 2007 State Tournament for Wrestling.

this, some players are like people who only bench/deadlift/squat everyday, they put up big numbers, mostly the 300 pound line but im pretty sure they beat most bodybuilders here

But that DL isn't all that impressive. 475 with the raised handles, when you're as big as that guy, isn't nearly as impressive as that bencher above

i was benching 250 at 16, then tore my Rotator cuff, so i didnt barbell bench for 4-5 months now, but have definitly gotten stronger on DB inclines, hit 85x12 the other day.

Man, most of these are some low ass benches compared to my school. I went to a school with around 1600-1700 people. I remember there being at least 10 guys, at any time, throughout every year, that were juniors or seniors and benched over 400.

Then again my neighbor who held another nearby high school's bench record could only put up 250.

Genetics and lifestyle can play a large role in things. When I started lifting at 140lbs the lowest I ever did reps for was 145lbs, yet, I have friends that are the same size than can't even put up 90lbs once.

I really wish I was born in the USA with the heavy lifting culture, football team, style thing. Benching, squatting and deadlifting from before youve got pubes. I would have been putting up 315 for reps if I'd have started 3 and a half years before I did!
