    2 weeks out - first competition

    I am 2 weeks out from my first Natural Bodybuilding competition and wondered if anyone could tell me what I need to do to start preparing over the next 2 weeks. Specifically I am trying to find out when and what to carb up on and also about water depletion.

    Thanks for any help!

    Cutting out water is something I never advise. When you cut water, your body will start to retain water to prevent dehydration. As for carb depleting/loading you'll get a million different answers...it's too individual. It depends on what kind of diet you've been using through prep, how close are you to being stage ready, etc...there are many options. The Sat and Sun before I keep them low. On Mon my carbs are at their highest and I slowly cut back each day for the rest of the week. Show day few oz of protein, few carbs and 4-6 oz of water with each meal every couple hrs. Water is sipped in between. Some candy, gatorade about 1/2 hr before stage.

    I peak early a good 2-3 weeks before my shows. So for me it's just basically coasting, never any big changes.

    So Kim do you just keep your water at the normal levels? I know a few people who drink EXTRA water the day before a show to dry out. I'm trying to figure out my plan of attack too (2 weeks out also) and would like to avoid doing any drastic manipulations.

    I do 1.5 gallons daily all week.
