How much fat should I be taking in per day?

So I'm bulking, I'm a beginner (have lifted before for a few months but fell ill and have just started again at square one). I'm around 5"8 @ 135 (yes skinny, I was ill like I said ). I'm obviously looking for minimal fat gains whilst bulking, but I'm not afraid of putting on some as it's not always avoidable.

So how much fat should I be consuming, and how much relative to my protein intake? I try and aim for at least 1g of protein per lb. of body weight. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Around 0.5 grams per 1 lbs of your bodyweight is generally considered ideal.

    thanks guys

I'm just a bit weary because on my first bulk I had good strength and muscle gains but also a bit too much fat for my liking. Shoot for 70g or 100g? And I didn't keep track of my fat or carbs % first time around either, I will be doing so now

Personally when I was bulking I just concentrated on eating enough protein and didn't even look at fats (not meaning that I overindulged). Once I got my weight up I cut the fats right down and now eat clean to maintain my weight as I'm happy with my current size.

I should stress I am quite a hard gainer and if you put on fat easily you need to be more cautious. What ever you do make sure you're getting your essential fats.

dont skimp on the fat, it has many advantages to BBing; hormone production, protein is utilized better, the carry of many vitamins, etc.

Here's your answer. There's never a reason to get less than this; fats are essential and you should be getting at least a set amount each day. Carbs are where you should add/drop to alter caloric intake.
