dairy and milk on a cut?

Is it bad? I've heard so but also that its good on a cut, and I drink 6 dl of skim milk each day. Should I cut this out? And why is dairy bad?

If you're trying to cut anything that eliminates your caloric deficit is bad. If you're staying at the deficit you want then it's not bad.

I'd be willing to say that 95% of people on this forum accomplish nothing in years, don't be one of those people. It's sad, they seem to have the knowledge many don't but can't utilize it.

when I cut, I eliminate dairy products. Not because they are bad, but because I need to cut down on the calories. If you can fit dairy into your macros though, by all means go for it.

I drink a cup of milk with my cereal each day and then a cup with my whey protein, so two cups a day and usually equates to 250 calories a day and is 2%, not skim as I can't drink that stuff...

I fit it in my macros though, which if you can do it, by all means do it, especially if you like it. I am even a little lactose intolerant, lol!

When on a bulk I normally drink 2% (Whole if I'm having trouble gaining).
On a cut I drink skim milk.

Honestly, I'd be screwed without dairy. I've eaten it during my entire weight loss. Skim milk, cottage cheese and yogurt are staples of my diet. I have each at least once, some twice, a day. They don't negatively affect weight loss at all, and they're EXCELLENT sources of protein.

Yep, another good source of protein in diary is cottage cheese. I eat 1 cup of that a day as it gives me 27g of protein.

That's all you need then. Everyone's diet is different, if yours can fit some milk and yogurt, then why not. Especially low/non fat, solid source of protein.

I have one cup of vitamin d milk every morning with my fiber one honey clusters and have lost a steady 2 lbs per week for 3 months now. If it fits your macros then there is no reason you can't have it
