Don't you love it when you are drenched in sweat?

I was just at the gym and I worked my ass off. I lifted super heavy, then hit up the eliptical. By the time I was done, my entire t-shirt turned dark from sweat. Sweat was dripping on my lips, in my eyes, down my back.

People were looking at me funny, but it feels good knowing you left everything you had at the gym!

I like it when the A/C is on cold blast so that whole sweat dripping thing doesn't happen.

Yeah, I don't feel like I worked hard enough if my shirt is still dry. Heck, I'd probably leave a puddle if I stood in the same place too long. I don't really care what anyone thinks either, I clean of the machines and equipement when I'm done and I don't expect people to smell like roses at the gym either.

I typically start a slight sweat during weights (esp. leg day) and by the end of cardio I'm pretty much drenched. I do get a little paranoid when somebody hops on the machine next to me and only stays on for ten minutes or so - gets me concerned that I'm grossing them out or maybe even that I smell bad (of course, I can't seem to smell my own sweat), so they had to leave. I've switched to mostly using the escalator/stepmill thing now, as it's well seperated from the other cardio equipment so I don't even have to worry about it.

So far, of all the sweatly people i've been next to in the gym, I've only come across one dude that smelled bad enough for me to want to move. This is one of those guys the reaks so bad that it burns your eyes and it smells like he's been in the woods for three months.

I'd say the worst is when someone eats a ton of tofu and spicy foods... tends to come out with the sweat, though the same people will say the typical american (fast food diet) smells horrible when they sweat too.

for the OP... I don't feel like I've done cardio right unless my entire shirt is drenched and I typically will have a lot of sweat on the machine by my feet. I usually have to wipe down the whole machine after using it (not just the controls and handle bars). I workout at a gym that is a little "snooty" because it comes as a benefit from work, and funny enough I think that is the norm at my gym rather than the outlier...

It's probably paranoia on my part. The only really odiferous people that I notice either obviously "recycle" their gym clothes or just ate six cloves of garlic.

I like it when you are drenched and you happen to find these random cold spots in the gym and you just kind of stand there for a few looking up like "Ya this is the ****"

Only 1 shirt? Hell I fully drench at least 2, sometimes 3 full sets of t-shirts, sweatshirts (not to mention half my sweat pants) for each workout day. And I'm not one of those overly sweaty guys either - I just work my ass off. It feels good to tear off a sweat-soaked t-shirt and put on a dry one and keep right on going.

I just naturally don't sweat much, which is good, because no, I don't particularly like it when I'm drenched with sweat. Back when I used to run 3 miles a day, I wouldn't really break a sweat until I finished the first mile. That suits me fine.

On this topic, my very-ripped younger cousin sweats like you can't believe. I don't know if it's because he's so huge and that his metabolism is so fast that he consumes like 6,000 calories a day, or if it has something to do with his diabetes, or what, but dude is a human lawn sprinkler. The whole family went to Puerto Rico last fall for my other cousin's wedding, and a bunch of us went to tour San Cristobal Fort, and of course it was hot; my cousin absolutely drenched his shirt, and we were just walking around. I hope this doesn't happen to me if I manage to put on his level of muscle.
    Cutting. Commenced January 19th, 2015 @ 211 lbs. Goal: 168 lbs.

Yeah - I'm a pretty "proficient" sweater (whether or not I'm in shape), and often wish it weren't the case. When hiking/climbing/snowshoing in the cold, I have to wear just about nothing on an ascent or else I'll freeze from being wet as soon as I stop for a minute. And a few years back I was in an outdoor wedding in August, in the Dallas area, and that certainly sucked. I hate the fact that every wedding that I have to participate in always falls on hot days.
