    does it really helps prevent injuries ?

    Definitely, it's a must for exercises such as Squats and Deadlifts... It will help support and stabilize your lower back. I would not recommend heavy sessions without a belt.

    i do 200 lbs deadlifts for 8 reps

    and thats pretty heavy for me (15 y/o and 155 lbs) so yeah ill get a belt since i been getting some lower back pain recently, it should just go away since i stopped doing these until i get a belt
