    Hydrolyzed whey vs. Isolate protein

What is the difference, does one taste better than the other?

Hydrolyzed weigh is weigh broken down to it's most basic amino acids, whey isolate is a more bioavailable / purer protein source. Usually isolate is more expensive I believe since it is more "pure"...

Isolate also tastes better in my opinion... I'd go with it if you can

    Hope this helps

I like hydrolised because I find it easier to digest. It's doesn't bloat me.

ETA - I've had better muscle gains on it too, but it does taste revolting- you get used to it after a while though.

WHEY ISOLATE - A more pure whey protein with lower levels of lactose, fat, cholesterol or denatured proteins.

HYDROLYZED WHEY - An enzymatic predigested whey protein, where larger whey molecules are broken down

I personally do better with the Hydrolyzed products. When I drink other protein shakes, I tend to feel pretty crappy and heavy.

Usually though, the bloat happens due to the Lactose ingredients in the protein. If you can find a powder that also includes ingredients that have something to counter balance the lactose, it should be ok.

It's really all up to the individual body though from what I learned. If you go to a reputable supplement shop to buy your proteins, don't be afraid to ask them for samples, and ask tons of questions. That is how I have learned what works best for me.

I thought hydro whey was more bioavailable and that's why they put it in intra workout products so that too much energy isn't spent on digestion while you work out? I could be wrong but I think that's what i heard.
