Has anyone tried smoothie king's gladiator low carb meal replacement/protein powder? Here's the nutrition info according to thedailyplate, I saw a tub in the store the other day and checked it out and this is accurate:

here's the information on what's in it from the smoothie king website:
Try Smoothie King GladiatorŪ Protein Powder:
* Is a low carb, low fat, low calorie meal replacement powder
* Contains the protein digestive enzyme AminogenŪ – an all natural plant enzyme system that has been shown to increase protein absorption as much as 55%
* Contains 45g of high quality cross-flow micro filtered (CFM) whey protein isolates and egg white protein
* Contains additional amounts of Vitamin C, Vitamin E and B Vitamins for muscle recovery, enhanced immune protection and energy production
they say the protein comes from whey and egg whites..are they using mostly egg whites to get such low carbs and fat?
has anyone tried this and can recommend it? it was $45 a tub at the store, so I obviously don't want to jump into this

Iīm pretty sure itīs mostly whey. Egg proteins are slightly more expensive (but perhaps the cost is similar to CFM whey) and more difficult to flavor/mix. CFM is one of the best method of filtration and it is the reason why it is so low in fat/carb.
Iīm not sure why itīs called meal replacement. And Iīm guessing for $45, itīs a 2lbs tub. You can shop this site for CFM whey proteins that have almost zero carb/fat for cheaper.i take it for granted that no hearer of mine will misinterpret what I have to say as the language of cynicism

I have tried the Gladiator Chocolate from Smoothie king.. The actual price at my local store is 32.99 for a 2 lb tub. And, has 22 servings in the tub. It is rather good. I have not tried the other flavors yet. I am still looking for what is best for me. I am thinking this is going to be the best due to the 45 grams of protien per serving. I will have to get in 120 g of protien a day. I am fixing to go through barriatric surgery and so far have not been able to tollerate the products made specifically for barriatric patients. But, this one I tollerated quiet well.
