Although while Megadeth are possibly the greatest thrash band ever, I don't think they are the definition of alpha really
Southern tinged bluesy groove metal is probably as alpha (not as good, but as alpha) as metal gets

Metal is sooo ****ing alpha, this genre requires an ability to play an instrument and have talent unlike computerized rap and also older metal from the 80s - 90s had greater singers but now, its mostly scream-o now though expect FFDP
Metallica, Megadeth, Quiet Riot, Black sabbath, Iron Maiden, Nirvana, Anthrax, Slayer, etc. ALL KICK EPIC ASS
