its a yeast infection. Get out of denial about it. I'm assuming she is on birth control since you cum inside her. Birth control very very commonly causes recurrent yeast infections.
She can try an OTC medicine for it, but if she is on birth control it likely won't work and she will need a prescription for fluconazole (fluconazole sucks, and she will be miserable for the couple days it runs through her system). If it continues to come back after treatment with fluconazole, she will need to change birth controls, or get off birth control completely. But in the mean time, she should go to her gyno so they can tell her it's a yeast infection so you can stop asking about it on the internetLast edited by Opies; 03-21-2010 at 05:33 PM.

she doesn't take birth control regularly? What is she ****ing retarded?
A) if you mean she is on an injection or non-daily, it is the same thing anyway
b) if she takes it randomly, it is 100% ineffective and probably screwing up her hormones. If you aren't using protection she can easily get pregnant
c) taking it at all means it can have sides, including yeast infectionsLast edited by Opies; 03-21-2010 at 05:42 PM.

Do you guys use condoms? I ask this because it could be a latex allergy if you do. I've experienced the burning thing in the past and found that it was due to the latex in condoms.

^^This. Yeast infections are very common, they are NOT an STD even though they can pass between men and women. All women have yeast in their vaginal tract, sometimes an imbalance of some sort (hormones, stress, poor diet) can cause it to overgrow and become a problem. No biggie, but it can be painful and irritating and if you don't treat it properly, it can hang around for a looong time. The other advice I have is that you will NEED to use condoms while she is being treated or you will just pass it right back to her. It tends to get better/worse depending on where she may be in her cycle, so you might think its gone and then it comes back. Been there, done that. Took months to get rid of it until we stopped having sex without a condom and I was also treated with an oral antifungal. The OTC creams (Monistat) don't work very well and generally just clear it up a bit and then it comes back later. It could also be bacterial, but you usually have other side effects too.
If she doesn't take birth control regularly, and you don't use a condom, you are both CRAZY and looking at dealing with a heck of alot more issues than the common yeast infection. The fact that she is not regular about her birth control could be exactly what it causing the problem. She needs to go to her gynocologist for a swab to see if it is yeast or bacterial and then get treated."A champion is someone who gets up even when he can't" ---Jack Dempsey

Not sure what to make of this thread, First I thought "troll" and then I was like maybe they are trying to have kid, but if they were trying why would she take birth control sometimes. The only other conclusion I can think of is you are both to irresponsible to be having sex. OP am I missing something?

This is gross but does it itch too? If it itches and burns it probably is a yeast infection. If it just burns it could just be a urinary tract infection, but from the symptoms you are describing (burning up inside the vagina) it sounds more like a yeast infection.
yeast infections can be caused by many things not just whether or not you have sex. Anyone can get them. If you leave wet clothing on you can get a yeast infection, if you take antibiotics you can get a yeast infection, wearing tight clothing, poor nutrition, allergies to soaps, perfumes etc etc.
Yeast infections are NOT an std, and NOT a disease. Normal, healthy fungus exist in a woman's vagina in small amounts. When this fungus starts forming too many new cells is when a yeast infection occurs. Unfortunately for you, since you continued having sex while your partner was experiencing these symptoms, she could have passed the yeast infection on to you.
She could also have bacterial vaginitis which displays many of the same symptoms as a yeast infection. If she remains in denial about this and doesn't see a doctor it could turn into pelvic inflammatory disease.

I'm definitely in agreement with the yeast infection diagnosis.
You can buy same AZO Yeast tablets in the women's section of any drugstore. They can help prevent them or treat them at the beginning signs of an infection. If she's had this for a while, they probably won't help now.
I think every woman gets them at some point in their life and some more frequently than others. It's not a big deal - just go to a doctor and get it treated. Or, try using one of the OTC yeast infection kits. They are about $15-$20. Definitely buy the 1-day use packs, not the 3 or 5 day ones. If she's never had a yeast infection before, she may not want to go this route.
Also, as others have said - lubrications, condoms, flavored lubes or even "toys" can cause irritation down there. She may not be able to use everything. I know, I can't.Hard work = Hard body.

one minor correction, yeast is a fungi.
and as a stickler in the lab, and proper diagnosis, DON'T touch any goddamn yeast **** until you get a positive ID about it beign yeast and not something else, like say BV (bacterial vaginosis)...as if it's not yeast, you take that stuff
*boom*

Well, I'll throw something else into the mix....
If it's a yeast infection and she's NOT taking her birth control regularly, then she may need to take a pregnancy test. Is she late with her period perchance? Yeast infections tend to rear their ugly head and become most irritating during a major hormonal change....LIKE PREGNANCY.
