    Talking How long to bulk for

    I'm starting gym after a few years off. I'm doing a real basic mass program deadlifts,bench,military press,squats etc. How long should I bulk for. I know you get good gains in the beginning but for how long.Just looking for rough idea of how many weeks or months before I should change it up.

    Until you decide that
    a) You are too huge (will never happen)

    or

    b) You are getting fat (much more likely)

    Everyone has to cut eventually.

    This could take months or even years depending on your starting point and your propensity to gain fat as well as muscle

    You decide. Usually for several months at a minimum. People tend to bul in winter cut in summer etc.

    Start bulking, once your happy at the weight you've reached start a cut.

    I've been bulking since summer of 2008, I'm not quitting the bulk until I reach 350.
