    About Fish Oil

    Can someone please give me details about this? I bought nature made maximum strength fish oil 1200 mg. How many should I take a day? At what times? What does it do?

    If you already bought it then it tells you on the bottle how many to take and when(normally with food) and do a search you will find plenty of threads on it's benefits.

    i wouldnt

    i got caught up in the hype. i bought the coated ones and all. took em and man everytime i burped it was freakin nasty not to mention the abdominal cramps (later on). good luck-

    i never had that problem. sometimes i would take them with no food, sometimes with food and i never had bad after tastes. i actually liked the tastes. sometimes i would bite the gel caps in my mouth and have the juice come out, that actually tasted pretty good, lol like fish, lol duh. and i also do that with flaxseed that i have now, i like poping a few in my mouth and then let the juice come out, the flaxseed oil taste way better than the fish oil.

    i take mine with a meal(as it says to do on the bottle) and have never had a problem with burps.

    Follow the bottle, a lot of people say 6 grams but I tend to take 3 grams a day with my meals lacking in fat.

    I think Fish oil is very overated to be honest. When I used it the only benefit I felt was more gas and occasional burps. But my joints are on the strong side and I never have major problems with fat loss so I guess I wouldnt be able to feel the effects as well.

    Personally I think green tea extract is a better choice for cardiac health and fat loss. If people are worried about joints fish oil isnt the way to go, thats what glucosomine/chono, msn are for.

    Fish oils in the long run has too many benefits to be considered overrated, IMO.
