    How can I put on size for football while running track?

    Ok, so I'm a 15 year-old freshman in high school. I have heard many times that track improves your speed greatly. But I also want to put on mass for football. Football is my main sport, and I am only running track to improve for football. I just started running track about 2 weeks ago. Before that, I was about 153 pounds and wasn't doing any sport, but I was lifting and running on my own. 7 weeks later, I went from 153 to 160 pounds. I am wondering is it possible to still put on a pound a week like I did before I started running track? I want to be about 170+ by the time training camp comes for football. How can I run track to increase my speed while putting on weight at the same time? Or is it better for me to do speed training on my own and just stay in the weight room?
