    Is it okay to have one day a week...

    where you don't workout at all? No weights and no cardio??? I was just wondering because I had been doing one or the other everyday. I want to know if a day of complete rest would hurt my progress.

    Resting is a vital part of gaining muscle. You should rest your muscles for 48hours after a workout. Of course this does not mean that you can not do anything for 2 days, you can work your chest-bi one day and back-tri the other. Thats why most people use split training

    Most people do 3,4, or 5 day a week splits. You shouldn't be training 7 days a week.

    Hell yah a big one on that. Sometimes even a day or two where you cut down on the protein intake to give your kidneys a break.

    if my progress, you mean getting bigger, id calm down with the cardio... if your cutting, feel free.. but at 5'9 and 119 lbs, id say your trying to gain
