No thanks for bothering me I appreciated the simple stupidity people can believe that there is something, like milk, that can solve all your problems and get you to pack on the pounds.
There are no shortcuts. There is just consistency, determination and goals that will get you to where you want to be.
Don' think that milk is your "scrawnyness" problem.Go Big or Go Home!

Did you bother to think before you type?
GOMAD is not a magical answer to his problem. It's a method of increasing weight gains by increasing the amount of calories you intake through the day by drinking a gallon of milk each day. Some of us enjoy having options other than food to achieve 4000 calorie days. Milk is a cheap and very convenient source of calories and protein.

Right then.
You know NOTHING about Rip, and NOTHING about the effects about drinking a gallon of milk a day. Why say that you should not do it?
Do your reading before you say "Do not do it". However I do believe that "consistency, determination and goals" are very important.

1 gallon whole milk contains 2400kcal, 200g carbs, 120g fat, 120g protein and lots of vitamins & minerals for a relative low price.
This is a skinny 18 year old kid NOT a bodybuilder, he's trying to gain mass.
This is a sure way to make sure he gets the cals he needs, most of the protein he needs, and a load of fat to help him gain some mass.
If he were a bodybuilder, then this obviously wouldn't be suitable.
Edit:
Why would it be a marketing rep, its one of many programs out there.
Its just one that I've had experience with and know its working.
Edit edit: although reading over it, it does look like im trying to sell something hahah
Its just that i really think it worksLast edited by scottaii; 03-19-2010 at 03:12 PM.

With regard to milk (and dairy products in general): if you're having GI issues consuming X amount of dairy products per day and wish to increase your intake, Lactaid caplets are a viable solution. At 34, I can consume no more than two 12-ounce glasses of milk per day. Any more than that and I'll be squatting on the porcelain throne every 30 minutes. With Lactaid, I can down as much milk and eat all the dairy products I wish to consume without worries.

use fitday.com to track your calories make sure u get alot of protien if u wanna clean bulk and for simply bulking ive been eating alot of peanut butter and ancient grain bread.
each sandwich is 52g of carbs, 22g of protein, and 25g of fat (good Fat)
add 2-3 sandwiches a day to you diet and your good to go.

I think you should forget about tracking and all that OCD BS. I suffer from it, and its only holding me back. Here is some advice from someone who couldnt gain a pound in a month to someone who got 7 in under a month, and could probably put one more.
Also forget the GOMAD if you don't like it, some people can't stomach the milk. Also forget the low fat **** - it will hold you back. Get plenty of fats in, enough protein and moderate carbs.
If you don't go the tracking route, get equal grams fats, proteins and carbs. Go for 22calsxbodyweight if you are lean. If you are hungry, eat. If you are not hungry, eat. If you feel sick, eat. If you feel like throwing up, stop eating. Start eating again in 3 hours.
However if you do decide to go the tracking, here is what helped me the most recently is this -
CARBS
2g carbs per lb bodyweight (If you do low volume, like SS, start off with less, if you feel always tired, use more, carbs = energy).
Protein
1-1.5 grams per lb bodyweight. I think 1.5 is more than enough and most people who say they get more than this are overestimating or do it for only one day, and slack the next, or are extremely active. It is also activity dependent. I was getting 250 grams when I was off work (running, walking, gym, etc), then when I came back, it made me sick. Try it, you will see.
Fats
This is coming from a person who got his fat intake close to 0 - GET YOUR FATS. Without them, you won't grow, period. If are like me, switching from now fats to, well some fats, expect to lose body fat and gain muscle. I go for about 0.9-1g per lb bodymass. Sources? Best and cheapest ones are eggs (I eat about 20 in a week, and I'm still alive, so I woudnt worry about it), next ones I'd recommend nuts - peanuts, coconuts are good. Last but not least - CHEESE =) Yum. This is the alternative to GOMAD, except goes a lot easier on the stomach.
Don't eat too much fats in the evening - you wont sleep. If your appetite dies (high fat will do that), reduce fats, increase carbs a bit, reduce fats - that will keep you hungry =)
Good luck.
Cheers,
Ra2

I said drinking a gallon of milk a day would be plain dumb, not drinking milk is plain dumb. I personally drink 2 glasses of milk a day.
I mean it's up to you whether you would like to drink a gallon of milk a day. Just keep in mind that drinking too much on a consistent basis daily, promotes cancer growth.
So take your pick....a gallon of milk or just simply eat more.Go Big or Go Home!
