BUMP - Today's workout bumped to active page
Power Friday
Solid day in the gym. Got 515 again at the top end on deads, but also did some solid work on the progressions sets and got up to 475 without the belt.
Very happy with the deads today.
Also did some excellent work on the leg press, getting 10 plates per side (1,020 lbs including sled weight) for 8 reps.

I can't tell, are you using mixed grip or double overhand? Either way, that video looked too easy for you. Nice work. I don't think the chalk helped any, I really think it was the untied jordan's that helped you the most. ;-)

Getting back there FIM, slowly but surely.
Got my kids this weekend; those are the best ones. You have yourself a good one too.
Yes; over/under grip. No way I could DOH 405 unless I was using straps.
LOL at the shoes comment. They're actaully OTOMIX Ultimate Trainers.

gratz on the 515.
Form wise comparing your recent video to your older ones there is improvement, and it's a good start. Just keep working on getting your head and chest upright so you sit back longer and push more through your heels.
good work.-----------------

I posted some pics in the "Skinny me, skinny you" thread in the O35 misc., but for those that never venture into that cesspool, here's my humble beginnings as a bodybuilder.

Summer of '88 (hadn't started lifting yet)
Summer of '89 (after 1 year or so of lifting)

It could be the angle, but the 1st picture looks like you have really long legs for your height. Maybe the size of your legs at the time add to that? Where is that picture of you standing behind your Vette with your specialty Flex license plate showing. That is a good picture, if you don't count the cut off jean shorts.

Perfect pic for some kinda calendar or something. Love the beer on the ground. Vette, absurd back muscles, beer, cut-off shorts. Quintessential Flex right there. Only thing you're missing is a calculator.
Nuts on that incline press. 205 x 3...? 35 more than I'm doing, but it feels like an effing mountain. No idea why, but I've never broken 200 on incline press. Next month may be the month tho.
Thanks for the motivation!B: 285

It was funny looking at all these old pics that I haven't looked at in so many years.
lulz
I dunno about nuts....Rocky does 225 incline for a gazillion reps. I can squeeze out a single if I have a spotter. This exercise is really difficult for me, which is why it will be all the mroe rewarding when I can start pushing some decent weight on it.

Nice incline'ing for a guy with shoulder problems!
All that volume is making me feel verrry guilty.2 + 2 = 5 (for extremely large values of 2)
