Bump
Today's workout bumped to active page, because I almost died....
OK, the plan was to skip deadlifts today so I could do a full leg workout, and do deads on the weekend.
Ummm...........that was the plan
Ended up going full retard on the leg press for 90 minutes and just barely squeezed in a few sets of calves before I ran out of time.
WTF?
LMAO
That said, I did 21 sets on the leg press covering all rep ranges, and getting a 5 x 5 @ 1,000 lbs.
OK, truth be told I did 26 reps @ 1,000 lbs, because the carriage latch didn't LATCH after my last rep on my last set, and I had 1,000lbs come crashing down on me. Oh joy. Funny that 25th rep was hard as hell, but the 26th went up like a greased pig. I guess I had one more in me after-all. Fear is a powerful thing.

That is plate weight of 880lbs plus sled weight of 120lbs.
In my life I have never included the sled weight, but this press is a monster, so I have to!
My Lisa watched the first 3 sets, she had this look in her eye. LMAO.
Full ROM. I was proud of myself. (Am I allowed to be?)
I see so many guys load up and do 1/4 reps. I never wanna be that guy...I WON'T be that guy.

It amazes me how you get stronger with every set. Some of us get tired as the sets go on, but not you!
Great work, Mr Flexy. No drama: You know where we are.

Squaterday
Pretty much a carbon copy of last week, I'm OK with that. Had enough time to squeeze in some calves, and I did the seated raise machine, which I am weak as hell on, so I made up for it with volume, doing 10 sets of 10.

First thing I thought of when I read this was, "HammerStrength."
Full ROM.....
....Full ROM or GTFO.
I used that machine while on vacation last Fall. I agree, it's a beast; took me a couple of minutes of futzing around with it to even figure out how it works.
But man, is it smooth. Great machine; probably the best out there, IMO.No brain, no gain.

Good looking leg press. You can never go wrong with HS. Awesome squatting today btw... 405 x 6 with your deep ROM is sick.

Awesome work brother. And crazy volume with the leg press. I've never included the sled weight when I journal mine either. My dungeon has the exact model as yours, though ours doesn't have that fancy-smanshy red color. Is that a special order?
Good job my friend.

Thanks Jay.
Very smooth. I think the latch mechanism needs some work though!
Thanks David. That last set with the 405 is a killer.
Thanks FIM. Ours is white, like all the rest of the equipment. I just grabbed that pic off the internet.Insta: flexjs

Cancelling tomorrow's workout
Having a nice evening with Miss Lisa, and normally we'd have long been in bed by now, but we haven't even had dinner yet.
She had to work late, and I'm not rushing tonight.
So we're staying up late and postponing tomorrow's workout.
Next Update on Thursday.
Happy Valentine's Day, journal people.
