    Large amounts of complex carbs

Is it okay to take in a large amount of carbs if they are complex and u are still getting the rest of the nutrients you need?
My breakfast includes 2.5 servings of kashin golean which equals a lot of carbs but they are complex

and i have 2 sandwiches for lunch everyday ( 4 pieces of bread , wholegrain though)

I am still getting all the other nutrients i need , it okay too be taking in all these carbs seeing they are all complex?

you should still eat!!!! but in all honesty that is not a lot of carbs. I am up to about 400g or carbs a day just to maintain what I am doing. Eat up bro. I prefer complex carbs just because I am a big bread eater, but do not worry about sugar. The only gains in fat one will get is from an excess caloric intake. Whether the excess is from fat, sugar, or protein, it does not matter. In the end, its what comes in vs what is going out.

133-155 doesn't matter, you still have a ton of room on your frame and are still growing. Trying to micromanage your macronutrient intake and worrying about "complex vs. simple" and how much carbs is just flat out unnecessary in your situation. Eat, lift, sleep, grow. You are in the prime growth years of your life and you should take full advantage of that fact.

I gave you the most constructive input you will get

Only if you complete it with another food ie eating a food that has the amino acids that the first food lacks. That matters more to vegetarians who have to complete their proteins in combination. It is easier to ignore them to be on the safe side.

I eat 4 cups of cooked thick rolled oats before bed about 5 nights a week (2 cups dry). THAT is a lot of complex carbs, and that's just my pre-bed snack.

Of course you still count it, it is still protein that has caloric and nutrient value.

The calories yes obviously but the protein if incomplete will not have the amino acids necessary for proper utilization.

If you ate only incomplete protein do you think you could gain muscle mass? I dont.

yes of course you would still gain muscle mass, how do you think vegetarian's gain muscle? Yes they combine in order to avoid deficiencies but all their sources are incomplete proteins. It takes a very small amount in order to prevent deficiencies as well.

No, the bread is still an incomplete source of protein, but the rest of your diet more than makes up for the small deficiencies in the bread.

Sort of true....but not really. Spiking your insulin all day with fast carbs/sugars, opens you up to store fat in a big way. Stick with complex, slow carbs like oats, sweet potatoes, brown rice, etc. No need to eat all that sloppy food just because "it fits in your macros"....

There are 8 "essential" amino acids that the body can not make by conversion. They are essential for a reason. without them no growth.

You are saying that the essential 8 are not essential right?

Uhhh, no, I am saying incomplete sources still are usable for muscle growth. Your entire protein intake can be made up of incomplete sources and you will still gain muscle just fine so long as you don't develop a deficiency that could jeopardize your health or limit muscle gain(I.E. a leucine deficiency).

I am not going to argue this with you. You seem like an intelligent person with a better than most understanding but I suggest doing some more studying on this subject.

I am a biochemistry and kinesiology student, my academic life is nothing but studying this subject, you have yet to give any scientific reasoning.

When did I say you could get away with no essential amino acid intake? I blatantly said as long as you don't develop deficiencies that jeopardize your health or limit muscle growth(particularly leucine) you will be fine.

By only consuming "incomplete proteins"..aren't you developing a deficiency? I think you have confused yourself....either way, lets drop this

No, I also specifically said that vegetarians combine foods to avoid deficiencies, and that it is rather easy to avoid deficiencies. You should actually read before jumping to conclusions on what someone is proposing.
