What does those who are serving in the armed forces think of people like this
My opinion of people that join like for that reason are a disgrace to the marines and would end up causing more problems then help, besides them being sick ****s for wanting to kill people/ end rant
curious what others think of this post and what in your opinion is something to join for.

If he wants to kill people, okay I guess that is what he likes to do. You can't do anything about it.
But once he joins the marines just to kill people, I don't think it is wrong for anyone to hope that man dies...
I would not want anyone with that mindset coming back into society after having been through war.The multi-verse theory is more plausible than the theory of the bible.
The idea of extra-terrestrials visiting planet Earth is more plausible than the theory of the bible.

I'm guessing sociopaths make poor soldiers, since functioning as part of a team is critical to good performance.Contrary to conspiracy theorists' hysteria, Obama is not going to declare martial law. I wager a 90-day banning with Invictus:

I suppose I should answer the second part.
I joined (not considered joining) because I wanted to be a part of the world's greatest fighting force. Yes, I knew I ouwld have to kill people and I was/am okay with that. I don't and haven't ever "wanted" to kill people. Maybe with the notable exception of a few major jackasses I have had the displeasure of knowing.

I joined for a couple of reasons. I was heavily recruited by Duke for grades and Georgia Tech and U of Tenn for football but not on full rides so the military was somethign that would fix that. I also had always wanted to join some branch and until I got older it was the Army, my grandfather was infantry in WWII.
I joined the Corps because of all the recruiters I talked too they were th emost passionate and when researching the history of the Corps the brotherhood and history of it all just sang to me more than other branches. And, yes, not going to lie the Dress Blues did play a part in it... those things are awesome. They look sharp and are poon magnests!
My church is a gym, services conducted by Lee Priest, Arnold is god, J.C. Stands for Jay Cutler and Ronnie is Moses! I use the preacher bench for confessionals and the squat rack to pay my pennance! Praise be unto Gold's!

As long as he's not a danger to his own people then it's ok with me, it's better to have someone who enjoys killing rather than someone who hates it and could snap at any moment."worship me or i will torture you for eternity" - God.

Bad reason to join, but its quite natural that some of the people who want to join an alpha fighting force will have a little too much testosterone. Will hopefully get toned down in boot camp, as he learns that his place is at the bottom of the barrel.
Whenever I've gone to observe training exercises, the USMC tends to be very good about specifying when it is acceptable to engage an enemy, and the guidelines are very strict (maybe even too strict). Cultural appropriateness is also highly emphasized.Squat toilet guru: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=136590191

I was in the marines and I never wished to kill anyone. Mainly because I knew if I was trying to kill the enemy, that the enemy was also trying to do the same to me. I just preferred not to be in that situation.

I joined the Corps to be a bad ass commando I didnt make it thru due to injury but whatever I was at MCRD 3 months dropped at week 5 so I got a pretty good idea of bootcamp.
Anyway theres a book called "On Killing" by some LT COL. Its about the psychological effects of war and killing...its some real ****. People who want to kill are fking stupid...but there is a small percentage of humans that have psychopathic tendencies who thrive in killing environments, lots of special forces are of this type. However its only like 3%..very low number.
Drill Instructors have told us stories about there buddies getting blown 2 bits feet from them and the Drill Instructor just had this passionate cold gaze monotone voice telling this it was scary brahs. We were all rushed into the head to hygeine by the numbers because some dbag didnt shave that day so we all got fked.
