nice points from our Arnold winner:
the concept he is presenting is excellent....we are NOT machines, nor, should we be so.....Bodybuilders concentrate so much on the details, the minutia, that they fail to see the big picture. They lock themselves into very rigid parameters and rules that they feel compelled to follow. You have to eat every 2 hours! What if you are not hungry? What would be the point of feeding your body before it's ready for nourishment?
some bodybuilders feel they must remain locked into training schedules no matter what. They confuse this with dedication and consistency, when in fact, it's being stubborn and short-sighted.

I like that
its kind of like walking a fine line though
you want to be flexible enough in your approach so that you can try new things and experiment, yet you want to stick with a routine or concept long enough to give it a fair shake.
For me the trick is knowing when to move away from something that is no longer effective, and knowing yourself well enough to make that call.

Great point! Timing couldn't have been better!!
I have been thinking on same lines from last few weeks.
I was getting unnecessary fat and I think it was due to following this "schedule". Now I am "listening" to my body and eating/feeling much better as well as looking better.
When I started 2 yrs ago, I was eating regularly but too little to lose some weight and all that was unnecessary. I ended up losing quiet some muscle.
No more extreme dieting for me. Just listen to your body. Kai is my favorite too!:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)
Workout, Eat, Sleep. Repeat!

Good common sense, similar to the Alan Aragon quote I carry in my sig.
No brain, no gain.
"The fitness and nutrition world is a breeding ground for obsessive-compulsive behavior. The irony is that many of the things people worry about have no impact on results either way, and therefore aren't worth an ounce of concern."--Alan Aragon
Where the mind goes, the body follows.

I was gonna point that out its more psychological than anything. The super-strict parameters are kinda like safety wheels so people dont have to rely on their own judgments (which many people dont trust) as things come up so they just go on auto-pilot & are just stuck to their predetermined stubborn ways with tunnel vision. Kinda like religion . So if something does go totally pear-shaped they can always say, well it cant possibly be my fault I was just doing as I was told.
But then again Kai's conditioning wasnt anywhere near its best so..."Though the concept is not scientifically validated in detail (it should be considered as a hypothesis rather than a scientific theory), it is useful from a practical standpoint. When training athletes, it is impossible to wait until scientific research provides all of the necessary knowledge." Vladmir M. Zatsiorsky, Ph.D.
