I've been front squatting a lot lately and really like them. Which does the teen misc prefer and why? Also, why the **** is my front squat only about 30lbs less than my back squat?

They're both necessary for me... Though I think I may like zercher squat>front squat. I've only done those once.
My only logical response is that you cut your front squats high. My back squat is 300+, but I doubt I could get even 225 front.PRs

front squats are better for quad development IMO (especially if you squat PL style).
also front sqauts help your deadlift off the floor.
i would do both front and backs.
i currently squat once a week and front squat another day (on my DL day).
OP, i just started front squats about a month & half ago. there quickly catching up to my DL. your ratio isnt extremely weird.

the weight is out in front of you like a deadlift. core will be worked for with front squats as well since the natural tendency is for the bar to come forward, you have to fight it more. also on a back squat, you are able to sit back more with less knee travel, on a deadlift you have to be in a position where you are still able to grab the bar without being too bent over, a front squat simulates the bottom portion more.

i do both, sometimes same day, sometimes i switch it up week to week. I like front squats more fun, i like to put chains on them too.
