    My experience with l-tyrosine.. this stuff rocks!

    Just thought I'd bring it up in case others don't know about this stuff... you can get a ton of it for 10 bucks at any vitamin store and it KICKS ASS! I take a gram of it at a time, and it works as well as the first time I used ephedrine and caffeine. I also feel much more alert, which is a huge bonus. My ability to concentrate and focus is much, much better than with any other stimulant.

    Pick some up and try it! Tomorrow I will give it a shot with 200mg of caffeine as well and see how that goes.

    This might really help me with my depence on pre-workout E/C..

    yeah i noticed it kinda brightens up my mood as well as being alert, and i just take half green mag serving, which is like 250 mg is L-tyrosine

    I'm going to have to get some. Using EC so much isn't great, especially when it doesn't give the energy that it used to, but still more than most energy supps. I'll check it out.

    Why not man. Even if it doesn't work as well for you as it did for me it's just 10 bucks. I will admit I am completely addicted to stimulants pre workout and I've been looking for something to replace ephedrine (caffeine doesn't bother me so much).

    I haven't even taken it with caffeine yet, but I'll let you know how it is tomorrow. It doesn't last as long as E/C (at least for me) but I think with the caffeine or even a lowered dose of ephedrine it will help give me the focus to go along with the energy.

    Excellent. That's interesting that I never even considered it before. I'm the same way, being a stim addict, so I'm really looking forward to it. Thanks for the info, and I'd be interested in how it is with caffeine.

    L-Tyrosine is a great, simple way to increase dopamine and norepineprine. Even better is to take L-Phenylalanine, which converts to Tyrosine but also converts to Phenylethylamine, which can improve the perceived results.

    When taking either one, take them on an empty stomach to achieve the maximum benefit.

    interesting, i was wondering about l-tyrosine and may be picking up some soon, thanks for the post

    i think i've become immune to supps... i got a bunch of free stim supps in the mail and at the max dosage i was feeling nothing lol 3 stimulant x nearly makes some people pass out from overstimulation and i'm sittin there twidlin my thumbs waiting for the kick

    No, I think maybe because it is converted to PEA and not just ingested.

    St Johns Wort does tend to increase the effects.

    Huge bump on what Flagg said, DLPA is far superior. I am not a big fan of how Tyrosine makes me feel but DLPA is great.

    I purcahsed about 500g for like 20 bucks. I did so thinking it is great for CNS recovery after my sprint/plyometric sessions but i must say it has many other great benefits.

    I took SATs yesterday and had 2.6 grams l tyrosine before with about 4.2 grams of gaba and i feel it is the best i have ever done on them. I had increased mental clarity and a general sense of well being.

    I find taking it first thing in the AM (in my coffee, cause why not) gives me a noticeable improvement in mood / clarity pretty much all day at work. For me a gram is best.

    I also have N-Acetyl-Tyrosine, seems to work the same at doses around 300mg (not in coffee!!! it tastes horrible)

    N-A-Tyrosine I got from Unique Nutrition...the L-Tyrosine I got from a place that sells bulk stuff I can't mention here, but any reputable brand should be fine, tyrosine is very common stuff.

    I think I may try this in an effort to eliminate all caffeine from my fuel. Do you think stacking it with egcg is a good idea?

    Whenever I'm slow getting up or groggy or if I'm having a rough day at work I take 2grams l-tyrosine and 1-2grams of green tea(~60-120grams natural caffine). Works GREAT!!! Plus I DO NOT tolerate caffine well, but it seems like when I take green tea it doesn't affect me at all. I don't get gitters, etc. I couldn't DARE take a stim or one of these commercial fat burners. I would be a wreck!
