    how many calories do u burn in a workout with weights?

    about how much do you burn? and how much would you say i burn? heres an example of a chest workout

    incline bench press - 185 lbs 3 sets 5-8 reps then i put the weights to 205 and do 3 sets of about 3 reps
    incline dumbells - 3 sets of 55 6-8 reps each
    pectoral flys - 3 sets of 145 8 reps each


    about how many calories would you think im burning? i take about 1 min of rest in between each set

    doesnt matter, adjust your independent variables, ie, the calories you eat.
    what you burn can vary too much and is really a huge guess,
    atleast only adjusting food intake gives you a better estimate of calories in/out.

    Yeah, muscle burns about 3 calories more per lbs than fat. So if you have 20lbs muscle vs. 20 lbs fat you're up a whopping 60 calories a day! Not even worth mentioning.
