Some people like white rice post workout due to a higher GI than brown rice.
Some people don't even take GI in factor to their diet, and eat both whenever.
They're both healthy, but I believe brown rice has slightly better nutrition facts.
I personally eat a mix of brown and white rice for post-wo. However, 80% of it being brown rice because I love the taste. The white rice is just thrown in to give it that sticky texture.Double-T Transformation Journal

^This. It's the par-cooked (i.e. quick cooking) stuff that is the biggest problem. Stick with regular rice and you're fine (in moderation of course). Unless you are avoiding carbs there's no reason to avoid rice. I use Jasmine almost exclusively because of it's texture and aroma (unless I'm eating beef, then I use brown). Wild rice mixes are great also.
You are right to be wary. There is much bull****. Be wary of me too, because I may be wrong. Make up your own mind after you evaluate all the evidence and the logic. - Rippetoe

And in addition to all that. White rice tastes like paste....crappy paste...assuming I knew what paste tasted like!!!!! Brown rice has such a good natural flavor! (to me anyway....)

it dont matter.
i perfer white over brown because they digest easier, leave you less full and tend to not give you as bad of bloating and gas afterwards.
but brown does have more fiber....but i get enough fiber in my diet anyway.
long as your getting enough fiber, eaat which ever you like. no matter if its during the day or b4 bed. long as your cals are under/over maintenance youll loose/gain weight.regardless of the color of rice you eat.
unless your a bb'er and getting lean for a contest...."Hard work dosent go unseen, unless hard work isnt present"

Rice has a surprisingly high glycemic index, as high as 94 (where glucose = 100). Brown rice and basmati rice have much lower indexes
Apparently, all sorts of beans and rice varieties like basmati that are high in amylose compared with amylopectin have lower values than other foods. Amylose is a straight-chain molecule that is harder to digest than amylopectin, which has many branches.

Micronutrient differences between white and brown rice are small. And it's not like you're relying on a couple servings of rice to get all the vitamins and minerals + fiber. If it does make or break your micronutrient requirements then you're eating very, very poorly.
Seriously, there's 3 grams of fiber less in white rice per 100 grams. If that's the amount it will take for you to not have enough fiber in your diet then you're doing it veeeeeeeery wrong.

Oh and yeah, if you're eating protein/fats with your rice GLYCEMIC INDEX doesn't matter crap.
