Spent nearly 1,000 bucks for weight bench that adjusts to flat, decline, and incline; DB's (10's-50's), olympic weight bench, 45 lb barbell, and 180 lbs of weight plates.
I think it's a nice base to start off with, and I will obviously buy more later; however, all I could afford at this moment, as I have to cover moving expenses to my new place. Hoping later this summer to get more weight plates + squat cage.
I'm thrilled with it, and looking forward to having everything set up by mid next week.

so, if there anyway to look at meat and tell how lean it is?
I have a bunch of venison in my deep freezer, most in burger. It was my brothers deer and he cant remember how lean he had the guy cut it. Any ideas how I can figure it out?

the more white in it the fatter it is. Or hell just cook a 1/2 in the skillet and judge by the amount of grease in the pan when you are done. Or forget about the fat and just mix in a little sausage with the burger slap the puppy on the grill and have one damn good burger.

you ever try venison chili? you have to come over sometime and try.If you don't like I will let you take a picture of me in a pair of your heals and just posing trunks, and I will use it as my avi for a month.[/QUOTE]
LOL!!!!!!! I have never had it in chilli, but I have had it in burgers, meatballs, and a few other things we made in my cooking class to compare. Something about the smell throws me off though, plus I always feel weird cuz I grew up with a million deer in my backyard.

you are right,it is more "gamey" then other meats. If it is not shot in the right spot it won't die right away. The adrenaline kicks in and it won't taste that great.
truth be told,I don't eat it a lot.I eat buffalo burgers quite a bit though.
