I have a sled that can be pulled with straps or pushed with a handle. For best speed training results is it better to push on one day and pull the next or is it good to do both on same day. Is 40 yd distance too long, too short or just right. This is for football training. The sled without the push handle is approx 22lbs and with the push handle attached approx 45 lbs. Of course, wts can be added. Thanks.

Do both on the same day. Alternate the resistance and distance on an inverse relationship accordingly.
