I'm pretty busy so I only have time to eat 3-4 meals per day. I have school in the morning and an 8 hour work shift right after. I only have time for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Probably a snack right after work (when I get home).
So my question is, is it still possible to bulk eating 3 large meals as opposed to 6 small meals throughout the day?

Yes you can still bulk eating three large meals a day, just make sure you are eating your calories required for bulking and that all your macros are in check. Six smaller meals a day just keeps your metabolism up and your muscles adequately fed throughout the day. It is optimal to eat more frequent meals but do what you gotta do bro . Good luck oh and try to have alot more high protein "snacks"

Great, I also need help making a diet plan.
I weigh 130lbs (58kg) and according to the chart, I should be eating 1950 calories and 130g of protein per day... but this is if I eat 6 meals a day.
My main foods will be brown rice, chicken, steak, canned tuna, toast, eggs, and meat.
Is there like a better way to plan out what my 3 meals should be instead of throwing in "1/2 cup of this and 3/4 slice of that"?
Probrably:
Breakfast - 3 eggs + toast
Lunch - Brown rice + piece of chicken + tuna sandwhich
Dinner - Brown rice + piece of meat or steak
I don't know, help me out.

don't forget the fruits and veggies.
Example: Add a banana to your breakfast, an apple with dinner and some veggies for lunch and dinner (along with brown rice).
Snack on nuts to get the healthy fats and/or put some peanut butter on your toast for breakfast.
The key is to experiment and see how your body react and then adapt your meal/cals intake plan.

if you're only gonna eat 3 meals a day , no big deal , but you need to eat a lot more than that , but try to eat a snack before the bed , some kind of cheese or simply drink milk ..you can do something like that
breakfast - 5 eggs, 1 cup oatmeal ,milk ,banana, fish oil.
lunch - forget the tuna and eat more chicken ,about 6 oz of chicken, brown rice is good ,about 1 to 2 cup ,with some brocoli, olive oil 1 tbs.
dinner-6 oz of steak ,2 sweet potatoes, brocoli ,fish oil.
before bed- 3 cup of milk ,or 250 g cottage cheese ,with a peanut butter sandwich..
when are you working out??

It is completely possible, and for some people it works better. I personally prefer eating 4 meals a day to 6 meals a day. I did the 6 meal a day thing for a long time, and when I switched over to 4 meals a day I actually began to see better results. The only thing is you have to prepare yourself to eat significantly bigger meals, and if you're having trouble with that, be open to drinking more milk and eating more fats. Even if you're fat or milk averse (for bro-science reasons that is, obviously if your lactose-intolerant avoid milk) be willing to try it because it makes it far easier to eat more calories without significantly increasing the volume of your meals.
Let me comment in reference to the post directly above quickly, one of my meals comes about an hour to an hour and a half before bed. Do not fear eating before bed. I'm currently eating around my maintenance and this is what my general calorie consumption and timing looks like.
8 am- 700 calories
12pm- 700 calories
5pm- 600 calories
9-10pm- 600 caloriesLast edited by Hawkeye-Rugger; 03-09-2010 at 07:41 AM.

3 meals a day is fine.. just make sure each of them is 1,000 calories then just slam a home made weight gain protein blend between meals and that puts you a comfortable 5,000 cals a day.
I guzzle 2 of these a day between my 3 meals.
Seeds - Chia, 3 tablespoons
Milk - Whole, 3.25% milkfat, 600 milliliters
Quaker Oats Porridge - Organic , 50 g
Banana - Banana, 1 medium banana (126 g)
Which adds up to 1,096 calories
126g carbs
50 grans fat
40 grams protein.
Simple.

Lol.. I googled the same question as OP and ended up here so old threads are still valid
Re: How many meals a day. A typical sumo wrestler eats a daily diet of 20,000 calories, which is pretty astounding when you consider that the recommended daily intake for a healthy, active male is 2,500.
They eat 10 times what a normal male eats and all of it's done in two massive 10,000-calorie meals.
So I the evidence suggests it does not matter how many meals you have in a day as long as you squeeze in what you need to meet your goals.
I'm reading more and more that research that seems to agree eating 6+ more meals a day is not such a good idea as your digestive system hardly gets a break.
