Thanks for stopping by and reading. This is my first contest (spring transformation) and im gonna give it my all. Im new to this log thing, so bare with me, may not be the most interesting one. I was going to cut up this spring anyway before I entered this contest, but when I read about it, I immediately signed up without even checking out the prizes or anything. I want to do this for myself and to give my wife something to look at and be proud of. Ive been in and out of the gym for the past 10 years and have kept myself in good shape, but nothing spectacular.
I had decided last Sept i was going to start getting very serious about bodybuilding and quit going through the motions, so to speak, and hit it harder than i ever have.
Over the fall/winter bulk cycle, I went from 159 lbs to 189 lbs, the biggest ive ever been.
Now that its springtime, i want to really shape up and shred!
I have become very interested in becoming a fitness model and i figured this was a great way to start my journey.
Here is my log so far:
Weigh in morning (empty)
Bulking cycle still in progress
3400-4000 cal daily
2-28: 187.6 lbs
3-2: 188.9 lbs
3-3: 189
3-4: Cutting cycle begins
3200 cal daily
3-6: 186 lbs 15.1% body fat

First day of 190g of carbs @ 2300-2400 calories. No major change in energy level, feeling good. Measurements the same except for a few good changes, shoulders went up .5", Waist is down from 35.5 to 33.5, lovin that! Plus went us .25" in forearms! Starting to get the hang of this cutting thing (the right way) I hope!

This week, going down (daily) from 2395 cal to 2080 cal, from 202g carbs to 146g carbs, protein is about the same at 243g, and bumped my fat up a little to 74grams. Im starting to look more cut, love the progress., need way more work on the abs though. I will have new measurements and weight tracked along with photos in the next few days.

4-18-10: 168.3 lbs
Dropping just a little to quickly this past week, think im gonna up my carbs about 5-10g

5-6-10: going back to heavy weights, 5-8 reps for a couple weeks, dropped my calories just a bit to 2235, 150g carbs, 86.5g fat, 246g protein, going to try to do 1 carb load day every two weeks instead of each week, and try to do a cheat day every two weeks as well. Will check weight and body fat % tomorrow.
