I've been reading throughout these forums and been seeing numerous posts saying it's recommended to drink atleast 4 liters (1 gallon) of water everyday.
Be logical, how the **** is anyone supposed to drink a WHOLE GALLON of water every single day? 16 cups of water in one day? Seriously?

I drink almost a gal and a half, on intense days 2gals. very easy, carry around a gallon bottle of water or like i do to make sure i get my right amounts, i have 6, 32oz bottles in my fridge, i make sure each one is empty by that night so i can refill for the next day

...it's not unrealistic or hard.
BTW, it doesn't have to just be pure water. It's a gallon of liquid. If you drink OJ or milk or whatever, it's fine.
As I said in my previous post in the thread, I have plenty of actual water. Some of it is mixed in protein shakes. Or PWO shakes. But I also LOVE my blue Monster.@24HrTrainerNOLA

At the gym alone I down at least a gallon. If you use creatine there is no way you're not thirsty. I go with around 2 gallons a day of just water, for me it's easy since I chug a bottle before and after every meal. If you can down 20 oz or so in the morning right when you wake up you got a good start.

Drinking a gallon of water a day may sound like excessive intake, but actually it is a low number. Health statistics show that drinking water actually helps our body to lose excess fat, aids in proper digestion and helps to rid the body of excess water. To enjoy significant results from drinking water, it is ideal to consume about a gallon of water per day.
Difficulty: Moderately EasyInstructions
Step 1Drink 20 ounces of water immediately after getting out of bed. Keep a 20 ounce glass of water by the bed so that you can drink it immediately after waking. You can also fill the glass half with crushed ice cubes and half with water so that it melts during the night and you have semi-cold water in the morning.
Step 2Drink 12 ounces while having breakfast.
Step 3Drink 16 ounces 2 hours before lunch.
Step 4Drink 16 ounces while having lunch.
Step 5Drink 16 ounces 2 hours after lunch. You are over half way to drinking a gallon of water!
Step 6Drink 16 ounces 2 hours before dinner.
Step 7Drink 20 ounces while having dinner.
Step 8Drink 12 ounces two hours before going to bed. This will keep you from having to go to the bathroom all night long.

A gallon of water a day is not difficult at all. It's just the way that people do it that makes it seem hard. I tried keeping a gallon of water with me at all times and I found that it was difficult.. so I just grabbed a small bottle and made times that I need to have so many bottles drank by. It's not hard.. just find the easiest way to do it and allow yourself to LIKE and WANT water!

your sad im 14 and drink 6 liters of water a day. 12 bottles isnt that much throught the day especially on workout days. you will be drinking 2 gallons and it will seem like nothing to you.

i drink a gallon of milk a day. no problem
drink em 2 servings at a time. so 16 OZ each time.. drink it 8 times a day and your fine
mix it in with shakes, whey, etc
im getting a gallon in like this
wake up: 2 cups milk + whey
back from school: 2 cups milk + weight gainer shake ingredients (PB, whey, eggs, banana, etc)
2 hrs later: same thing as before
2 hrs later: 2 cups milk
PWO: same big ass shake
before bed: 2 cups milk
i kno thats 6 servings, but the way i drink the milk straight, is i just chug from the gallon and estimate how much 2 cups is. i end up killing a gallon by teh end of the day so i get a bit more than 2 cups each timeLast edited by Hardcore.Lifter; 03-04-2010 at 04:45 PM.

This, it makes it easy, carry it around with you wherever you go and drink 4 within a day. It's really quite easy.
oh yeah, and don't carry around a gallon milk jug around with you. You'll just look like a tard. Unless you want to be one of those guys that wants to be like, "Look at me and my milk jug of water, I am so big, strong, and require so much water!
