    hey guys...can i perform bb rows with alt grip like deadlifts?? doing heavy wts dese days nd its summer here, the bar keeps slippin off

    do whatever you want. You need to alternate which is your over/under hand, as the stimulus will be slightly different for the different sides.

    Why not invest in straps, and do grip work outside of your heavy sets?

    argh... how dyu guys prevent d bar frm slipping?? i use gloves nd iy still slips out..jus did my first 220 lb bb rows today..

    grip work?? sry if i sound noobish.. the ppl who come to my gym are dumbasses who do biceps all day.. no one even does bb rows.. no chalk

    I would NEVER rec rowing like that - it's too assymetrical. I would opt for straps or versagripps.

    I have a hard time believing you are rowing 220 correctly, but do not know what "grip work" is....maybe you should lower the weight and do them without straps and build grip work up....the bar being wet from sweat is something we all go through..

    If you are doing them right, then any chalk or strap will work but don't alternate.
