I agree that it does make a difference, but not 2 min 30 seconds of difference. Also, just to be clear, you lock out before each pull up rep not after each rep, so getting off the bar when your chin is over is totally legit.

Between wed and fri I finished 28 seconds slower. Today I made a 2 and a half min improvement.
Next time I should try doing 1 rep letting go after each one and see what time I can get.

does the 300lb + crew mean for example if you weigh 200lbs all you have to do is add 100lbs of weight to your pullup to get 300lb + crew? If so I'm gonna shatter that ****.

Yep, the amount added needs to be at least 50% of your body weight and the total needs to be 300lbs+. So if you weigh 206lbs at the time you need to do at least 103lbs added for a total of 309lbs.

Sweet I'll try on monday. I could add 100lbs when I was only 145lbs and I have significant more amounts of muscle mass now so 100lbs shouldnt be tough.

If you did 100 sets of 1, even if you did 1 rep every 5 seconds, thats still over 8 minutes. If you could manage 1 every 4 seconds, that would be under 7 minutes, seems hard to get on the bar do a pullup and get off and back on within 4 seconds though.

Well, whatever rules we want to go by is fine with me. I personally dont think it makes that much difference in the 100 reps for time. I know you think that because of your recent improvement, but there's a lot of other factors to consider that could be attributed to your improvement as well. I agree that it could maybe make a small difference, but I will personally gurantee that it will not take me anywhere close to 2 minutes 30 seconds longer doing it that way.

Your Guiness record was for 1 rep max weighted, and I dont think it would be smart to get off the bar when your chin was over and you had 206lbs added to you.

I was pretty tired from yesterday's 100 reps for time, but I gave it a try anyways. Time was 8:41, and I only jumped off the bar early on 1 set (I wasn't thinking on the 13th set of 22). Considering I was already tired before I started, and it was only about 8 seconds slower than yesterday, well....I am going to have to say I told you so After a couple days off, I am going to get under 8:30 pretty easily with or without jumping off the bar early. IMO, you improved by over 2 minutes because you took time off, and because you have been training and getting back to where you have been before. I havent seen your sets for your recent attempt yet, but I am guessing you did a much better job of not going out way too fast like you have in your recent previous attempts.

    Sets were:

    12,10,8,6,6,5,5,5,5,5,5,5,4,4,3,3,3,2,1,1,1,1

I've haven't really been loosing any weight still around 209 lbs at 17 % body fat.

I'm trying to upload mt2s files but having problems, youtube let me do it the other day but it keeps saying conversion fail.
mt2s lets me keep 1080p quality, after I edit the video.

3 x seemed to work good for still being able to watch. I always use lower quality on my video uploads for 100 reps for time or anything that is a longer video. I hate when it takes forever to upload on youtube.

On your 100 reps for time you did like 40 sets, I have never tried doing that many really small sets. I have been doing around 22 or 23 sets. I wonder if I did more sets if I could drastically improve my time. It's probably a good way to mix the training up.

You can put ads on without being a partner. You should be able to have a custom banner and subscribe button.
