wow... I didn't even know there was another contest. I gotta check in more. I'll see if I can make a vid in a couple weeks. Only real place I can make a vid of pullups with any weights is in my power cage at my ex's house. So we'll see how that works out.
Doubt ill hit the 20+ that you're doing now, but I think I can place.

Thanks, I didnt know how much difference it would be, but ill take the 25% improvement. I have now broke pretty much every record in my sig within the past week. Feels good. Just need to take it slow with my elbow, it did ok today, and I tested it a bit with those MUs, and some pullups, dips, pushups.

Tested the elbow a bit today with my workout. I had been resting it quite a bit over the past week. Did 5 sets of body weight pullups in 28 minutes. 20, 20, 20, 19, 19, for a total of 98, which is 11 more than I did last time I did the same workout (its been awhile). I then did 5 sets of pushups, 30-40 on each set. Then did a bunch of small sets of pullups (2-5 reps each) with 45lbs plate, for a total of 50 reps. Made sure to stop on each set before I was really straining. Elbow feels better than it has in a week, even after the workout.

Tried unsuccessfully for a bw PR today. I got 17 without stopping but only managed to get to 20 reps. Not sure if it's bc I've been focusing on weighted or what? I was using the smith machine at the gym to do them which may have had something to do with it bc the bar is so smooth. Not sure brahs.

If the bar is harder to hold onto (smooth/slippery), your forearms will give out quicker. My new bar/rack thing is nice and slippery. I havent wrapped it with tape yet, but will soon. My forearms were working really hard during my workout yesterday. Also bw reps are mostly about muscle endurance. If you arent training for endurance, your reps probably wont go very quickly. It took forever for my body weight reps to go up because I dont work on endurance very much.

Went for 100 reps with 45lbs plate again today. Did it in 21:09 today crushing my previous time of 27:50. Sets looked like this: 10,8,6,6,5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5,4,4,4,3,3,2
Then did 5 sets of pushups, 4 sets of 35 and then the last set was 50, for a total of 190.
Elbow still felt good, so I did some weighted pullups sets (low reps) with 55lbs, 80lbs, 90lbs, 105lbs, 80lbs, 55lbs. Very conscience of my elbow, so I didnt push it too hard, but I wanted to get some extra weight on me.Sig line can't be a novel

I was at 85 reps right around the 18 minute mark too. I use gloves when doing 100 reps for time, there's just no advantage for me to mess my hands up. I do enough reps every week without gloves as it is.
