This last year my doctor told me that I had type 2 diabetes and out of control cholesterol. Since the middle of Sept I've hit the gym hard with both lifting and cardio and have cleaned up my diet big time. My MD called me this afternoon to let me know that my last set of tests were so good I could come off both medications. My highest weight was 305 and this morning I weighed in at 215 today.
Awesome to see the results in the lab. I hope this might encourage some others who are trying to turn back the clock a little so to speak. I can only regret not starting sooner.

Thanks, I see this as a lifestyle change and never plan on going back, BB.com has been a great motivator and information source. Everyone on the loosing fat thread are a big encouragement. It's gratifying to see that some things can be reversed if you apply a little knowledge and hard work. Thanks again for the kind responses.

Great job man!
Why do I do this weightlifting thing for the last 34 years with all its ups and downs life has handed me? Because each time I came back stronger. NEVER GIVE UP. Gym life is about more than muscles getting bigger and weights going up. Its wisdom discipline dedication humility you name it.
